What is it called when a snake never meets its tail in such a design as this? I'm sure it's infinity or something.

Any help would be appreciated.

Infinity is when the snake has it's tail in it's mouth. This is just an open end bangle.

It's not a bracelet but a ring handle, like from a door knocker.
