We've had this piece since 1961 and recently took it to a local "Antiques Roadshow" type event at our town Library. It was such a hit that I have since done many hours of internet research. It seems that we may have in our possession one of only 10 known Sandt Princess TSM' in the world!
Our research goes on as we contact experts and try to eliminate the repros and fakes. : )

OK...It's definitely original. We are truly overwhelmed and thrilled by the fact that we are just now realizing what we have. This item is like the Holy Grail of TSM's! It was given (for free) to my father in law (Norman) in the 60's by a contractor friend who found it in an old house he was renovating and thought my mother in law (Charlotte) would like it. Norman has since passed and Charlotte gave it to my wife about 10 years ago. The whole family is amazed!

Interesting item, can you give a little more information? Is this a sewing machine?

This is a Toy Sewing Machine (TSM) made in 1893, designed by Max Sandt and manufactured by Stienfeld & Blasberg in Germany. It was 1 of only 2 models ever produced ( The other being a Clown TSM) of which under 10 units are known to exist and only 2 Clowns.
