Madmar Blue Ribbon Series "Summer Solitude" 500 piece puzzle
This puzzle is made of wood and paper. No picture of the actual puzzle is on the box. No year is on the box. Made by Madmar Quality Inc. Utica, New York. I would like to know the year it was made and what value this puzzle has. The puzzle was passed to me to build from a friend.

I'm pretty sure your puzzle is pre-1950's. I have one that has the same style box but says "Madmar quality of Foster Paper Co." I read that Foster bought Madmar out in the 1950's suggesting since your box doesn't say Foster on it, it's pre 1950's. I still have not figured out how puzzles are gauged as far as price goes but I have seen 1930's Madmar puzzles sell for little over $100 on the high end. I would guess yours would be worth $40-$50 no problem though, maybe more.
