I was looking a long time for antique Micro Mosaic earrings. And I'm so glad I found these. I admire the patience and work of the handcraftsmen to make this kind of work. It must have lasted hours and hours to put in the very tiny tessarae to make the patron complete.
The more items of this kind of jewelry I see the more I'm going to love it.

Thanks for your comment. Yes Angela I think they are from about 1850-1860.
That is amazing. I bought a pair of micro mosaic earrings from a junk shop in Gloucester 35 yrs ago for £1.50. They are practically identical to yours except mine are in blue lapis/maybe blue glass. I think they are italian not sure. Unfortunately, I had to replace the wires with studs as they were very flimsy and not secure.
Fionaxxx, thanks for your comment and yes of course the make in the old times more than one of each Micro Mosaic jewel. But I think in blue those earrings are very beautiful too. Please shown them here on CollectorsWeekly!
Will get a photo tonight .
Fionaxxx I'll look out for it!
