Water pitcher and six glasses

This set was given to my mother in the early 60's by our neighbor. She told us it had been her mother's. We believe it to be more than a 100 years old, but cannot find any information. There is some normal wear on both the gold border and the amethyst of the flowers. One tumbler has a chip, other than that it is in very good condition. Any help in solving the mystery would be appreciated. Thanks
