I had never seen one of these until I came across this one. It is made of metal and is an egg grading scale with a patent date of 1924. Maybe this would determine whether the eggs were sold as small, medium or large.
That makes two of us who have never seen one. :-))))
These used to be a mainstay in antique stores in the 80s- 90s.
I don't see them much anymore.
