Recently acquired these two engravings from an estate sale in Palm Springs, California.
I have done some research and found the writing on the left to appear to be Polish with the word countryside and the what I think is an old spelling of the name of the town Kosciuszki. Which to me looks like it is spelled "Kosciotcha"??
I am also having trouble with the artist signature... any insight you can give is greatly appreciated!
These two engravings are really nice and I would love to find out the artist.

Nice! Polish indeed, but i interpret it as Wiejski kos'cio'lek (suchoryt) which means Rural/Country Church. (The letter l has a bar across, a bit like letter t) Suchyrot is a printing technique which I think translates into "drypoint". The other print, Krajobraz Jury Krakowskiej (suchoryt), Landscape - (from) Jurassic Krakow (part of the polish Jurassic Highland). Signature looks like A Kandriora 57, perhaps. Not a common polish name, though.
