    I'm not sure if this is plastic (probably!) or something else. No seams that I could find. Not exactly high quality, lol! I looked through Google Images but didn't find any Giraffe print bangles resembling this one.

    1970s? 1980s? I dunno.

      val - I had an idea that it might be on the newer side, but I figured I'd wait for you to come along. It looks like plastic but doesn't have that telltale seam on the inside.

      @val - I changed the last photo and put up one with a close up of the inside. Maybe that's helpful. The material is cold against my cheek and is slow to absorb warmth. There is a very similar bracelet in another thrift shop with the same colors but a different design. That bracelet has the tell tale seam down the middle of the inside. It resembles my Lea Stein bangle bracelet posted here.

      Looks wood or bone from the texture inside and along the edges. If it's cold, bone would be more likely. One test might be to heat it up to about 140 degrees. If it cools quickly it's probably plastic.

      gardinerth - it's definitely not bone. I know the characteristics of bone jewelry.
