I think what I have here is a Kashkul or beggers bowl but I'm not sure of its origin or if the decoration upon it there's relevant symbolism .it has been cleaned but don't worry it tarnishes back up to the same patinas ahead before after week outside. It's a thrift store find in the braided brass cord is what caught my eye first and spoke of quality. I'm not sure if they make these for export still? And when doing some research I find there's many different graphical and cultural variances where it could've been made and by whom ,so any help on anything about it basically and help let me know what I've got . I've always felt the shame to have something to beauty and not know the story, origin or any history behind it . It designers the Craftsman whom made it the spirit and the intent of the piece . Granted that's just in my View of things .I've learned as much as I could but I'm no expert and could use any input that's out there.Thank you thank you pieces 9 inches long 4 1/2 inches high on the ends 2 1/4 deep in the middle 6 inches across in the braided cord stretches out about 17 1/2 inches on each side to the top of the loop and I think those are agate stone's in the four circles
