This is one of my first Marx trains I got.
I love how the Marx Commodore Vanderbilt looked.
Nice airflow design somewhat Art Deco,
over all a very cool looking Marx train.
The Commodore Vanderbilt trains are one of my favorite designs of all the Pre 1950's model trains.
I like the Lionel Commodore Vanderbilt as well, but I don't have one.
About this train : I got it about 10 years ago I think I paid $40.00
for it. about $ 5.00 for the NYC tender.
You can tell by the electric pick up, it dose have some run time.
My Commodore Vanderbilt is a postwar model made in 1947.
This train runs very nicely, and is a cool Marx train.
