I inherited this pair of vases from my in-laws. I have yet to find anything like them. The sticker on the bottom from my Husband's Grandmother says "1886 from Canada". The brown cloth (?) applique of maple leaves, flowers and leaves is very unusual with goldleaf outline and goldleaf on the ruffled top. The vases are gray/white in color and marked on the bottom, both with two black short lines and one (with label still attached) also with a black dot. The vases are 8" high. I would love to know their history. Has anyone seen vases with cloth applique such as these?
