I was in Haiti in 2002 and purchased this painting from a local artist. It depicts what they call a RaRa. This is when several people got together with the most colorful things they could find and had their own parade around the slum they lived in to bring joy to all who heard and saw.
They had tremendous spirit even during dire circumstances.
