I love this lamp because it was my grandmother's and her mother's before her. My great grandmother immigrated from Germany as a single mother with my grandmother. Her home was tidy and every inch was covered in needle work.

I would love to know who made it and when. I wonder if it came from Berlin, Germany near some part of Unter de Linden.

I, too, have a lamp, from my great grandmother who settled in a German community of Indiana. My mother had it electrified. The glass is called pink inlay (or so I have been told). The fittings are not brass, but were gold colored. I want additional information on this one as well. It is 16 1/2" from base to place where chimney would sit.

Beautiful Lamp Memasgirl! Is the color completely pink or is there an inner layer of white. If two layered, then it would be called Cased Glass. If not, then the color is akin to opaque Cranberry glass. To be able to help you with the identification, there must be some name, number or information on the lamp burner that will assist in its identification. These "Parlour" lamps were made by many companies throughout Europe and the US. The color on yours makes it a very desirable to collectors. RER (BOB)
