This is a weapon developed by the USA to drop to resistance fighters in occupied Europe during WW-2. They were made by Guide Lamp, a division of General Motors. The construction is cheap stamped sheet steel and it is said it took longer to load one of these than the time it took to manufacture it. It was a single shot .45 cal and held 8 rounds in the hollow grip. Most of these were destroyed after the war as they were dangerous and liable to failure after a few rounds.
