    again one sculpture from my collection for your pleasure:
    Made in the year 1900 in the Manufacture National de SEVRES near Paris by the well known Georges GARDET (1863-1939), animal sculptor.
    This item is made in sandstone and named 'OURS MENDIANT' (begging bear). Marked on the side of the stand
    G. GARDET (see pic N° 4) and under the stand SEVRES.
    A collectively piece from begin of the 20th century...........................

      Nice, I like bear sculptures. It looks like a pottery mold to me though, the signature looks like it was put into green clay, and then fired, with a salt glaze. :^)
