I recently acquired this bangle. I just love Victorian jewellery and this bangle caught my eye. I bought it as 18 ct gold but when I acid tested it it tested as 14 or higher so I presume it is 15ct which would be in keeping with the time. I tested the stones and they did test as diamonds. There are 16 rose cut diamonds in total with a group of them on a stem forming the centre piece which is in the form of a flower. Underneath the flower is a small cresent moon. The Victorians had many symbols in their jewellery the cresent meanings included female spirituality, moon goddess and glory, the moon represents death and rebirth.

    Many thanks for looking

It came in that box so it could be original to the bangle, which is a added plus, it's always nice to display these wonderful old pieces in a wonderful old box. Thanks nutsabotas, it's great to see you.

      What a superb tiara bangle,
      Jean!
Rare shape, and so gracious on the wrist.
The box is certainly original, it is very difficult to match a box for such a high shape.
A link to another tiara bangle, boxed too, showed on the wrist:

Oh wow that's terrific information kyra, it didn't even entre my head but yes the shape is definitely in the shape of a tiara. I do have to put the bangle upside down in the box as the flower motif is to high for the top of the case, so no I don't think it's the original box unless the idea is to put the bangle upside down. Thanks for putting me on the right track. Thank you so much for the link, the bangle in the photos is amazing. As always your knowledge is second to none.
