This doll is about 7.5 inches tall and seems to be made of a hard plastic.
    Would appreciate any information.

She is made of Composition and dates around 1940. Her clothes are home made but nicely done . She is called a frozen leg doll and these were quite common and made by several companies . She is a USA made doll . It looks like they were trying to compete with Nancy Ann Story Book Dolls that were very popular at the time . Hard to be exact on to who made her without a marking or a distinct face .

Thanks for that info. The only place I have not looked for a marking, is under the under pants. They are tacked on. There are little tacks on the sides of the neck as well. Do you have any idea if they would have for. Maybe to hold the wig on? I guess I won't be retiring any time soon with the value of this doll lol.

They were there to staple original clothes on her , These dolls came in clothes not well made and not meant to take off . :-)
