I was just trying to organize my parent's basement and came across a bunch of old salt and pepper shakers that used to belong to one of my mom's relatives. Any guesses at prices would be appreciated. 3" (h) x 2 1/4" (w) 2 1/8" (l) for the man and 2 3/4" (h) x 2 1/4" (w) 2" (l) for the woman.

I'm looking at a salt and pepper price guide from 2007 that has this exact set valued from 30-35. The truth with collectibles is they're only worth what someone's willing to pay. Generally the more offensive some could be (ie: black americana, nudes, etc) then there's usually a greater market for it. As far as Black Americana a chef and mammy are pretty tame: getting those eating watermelon or throwing spears are the bees' knees. I hope this has been on topic and respectful!
