I love boxes that are different. It's a black box with a ship on the top. MB on the inside and a name that starts with a M and can't figure out the rest , but has the number 89 after it on the underside. I bought at A consignment shop. It looks old. Can't find it anywhere on the internet.
What and where?
Snuff box ... but looks modern.
I don't think it's a modern box. Don't know if it's a snuff box or not. But looks a bit large for that.
Can you photograph the inside with the name etc.? Would you tell me how the material on the top feels to the touch; does it look like the top has been glued on? What's the box made of?

Looks like it could be celluloid.
The inside has MB , it looks like ceramic . I am trying to figure out how to put more photos on this page. Smooth around the top. I am not sure what it is made of.
You can go to your original post, edit and remove and replace photos.
