      Showing results for nationalarchives.gov.uk

      Search instead for Nationalarchives.org.uk

The first link takes to a domain that is for sale. The second one takes you (I think) to where we should be?

I don’t know how they could date it just from photos

I see a mould number in the third pic by the tail

rust spots on there own take an extremely long time to come to the surface look at the size of the one on his head. the number stamped into the piece is 4089 can not find any info although some one has suggested to me it could be dutch just for the fact it has a windmill in the pic.if any one can shed any more light on this please feel free to comment. all comments welcome .

      Hi, welcome to CW :-)

Right, there is a stylised Dutch windmill in the decor!

The design of your cat is not consistent with 18th century (or earlier!) style... too much elongated neck, more in the 1970 style...

See there for 18th century Delft cat:

The "rust" spot on its head is only an imperfection during the glaze heating...
