Per a request by Indianabottlecollector, here is the Kremeline bottle I came across. My questions included: Was that because it was a sample bottle, do you know? I assume those with dairy names are more valuable - would that be a correct assumption, or are both equally uncommon (or not)? Any info about when they were marketed?

I looked at my orange example of this Kremeline style milk bottle. It does not have a dairy name on the bottle either. My black colored example has Shelton Dairy (Shelton Washington) on the bottle. There is a blue version of this Kremeline style bottle from Arbete Dairy (Centralia ,Washington). I have not seen this Kremeline design on milk bottles from dairies outside the state of Washington.

My guess is that the one you have in black & the one I have in orange were actually samples shown to dairy owners. If they ordered this style, the dairy name appeared on the "ounce" side of the bottle & the dairy location was shown on the "cup" side of the bottle. This is consistent with the Shelton & Arbete Dairy bottles.

It doesn't appear like this design was readily accepted & purchased by various dairies. At least the style is eye catching. I hope this is helpful. Thanks for posting your picture. I've posted another picture of my two on the earlier post.

***Correction on spelling of dairy name....should be Arbetee Dairy not Arbete Dairy

My thanks for your input, Ibc. But it has left me wondering how a WA state bottle ended up all the way over in Indiana....

Milk bottles of all kinds have been bought, sold, & traded by dealers/collectors for many many years. Before the internet & ebay, there were many bottle shows throughout the states. These shows were a sale place where lots of bottle trading occurred. Dealers would travel to shows from states far away. I remember driving 12-13 hours just to attend a bottle show. Once ebay came into existence, a person can sit at their computer & bid/acquire milk bottles from places near & far. My Kremeline bottles were purchased off ebay from sellers who lived in the state of Washington.
