    This patch is in an article that i came across about bomber jackets.

    Under one of the photos is this caption:
    Left, this name tag for Lt. Archie Draghi, a group lead navigator for the 15th Air Force, used impressed gold leaf. Right, the issue name tag above, and a “private purchase” name tag below with the airman’s name in English and Farsi.

    A bit confused by this. The photo with Farsi in it says "wing" and "fly" and not the name of the pilot. As someone who has some pretty good knowledge of Persia/Iran, the reason for why this pilot would have Farsi on his badge with that last name must, at the very least, be an interesting story.

    I cannot find any more information about this subject. Asking for a helping hand.
