    I don't believe this is a steel penny I would like to know what it is has a mint mark on it cuz it weighs 2.46 grams so

      First off it's a cent and it's made of zinc that originally would have had a copper plating, that now obviously is missing. Your cent was made at the Denver mint, that's what the "D" under the date stands for--the mint mark. Go ahead and spend it all in one place. ;)
