Found in my dad's things. It looks like a miniature replica of a military ribbon. It appears to be fashioned so that it can be worn in a button hole. No numbers, letters, or symbols. My dad served in the USAF in the 50's - if that helps.

I have never seen anything like this. Any clues?

It is a lapel pin for an Army Good Conduct Medal.

From what I understand they were still using USAAF for the USAF in the 50's. Now that I know the piece goes in the "do not sell" pile. Thank you very much Scottl

Just checked on that and you are correct. The AF version was authorized in 1960 but not created until 1963.
