I forgot to mention in the first post. But the inside of the lid is velvet lined.
And in addition to the four stoppers on the bottom, there is a stopper on the back to keep the lid from falling back too far.
    Good Day Friends!

Mine has a stopper on the back too-maybe it is a fruit keeper. Do you have any idea about how old mine might be?

No Ma'am, I don't have a knowledgeable guess on mine really.
I suggest a google search of dry fruit storage, keeper or container. Or even google dry fruits for sale and see if the company come up. If I remember correctly the company is not in USA. But it's been so long since I looked it up I just can't remember.
I'm not sure I'd know how to share a link, but I'll try looking and try to share if I find it.
Super proud I may have helped you ID your item.
Did you also see the other post of mine? It just has more photos.

Yes, I saw both posts-will try and do a little searching and see if I can find anything-I would never of guessed it might be a fruit box. To me it looks Indian or Turkish. Let me know if you find anything new. Thanks so much

Oh heck, I shared a link for you. I think I posted it to your box.
And you are right it's India made.
