I got this stove at a yard sale, cleaned it, shined up the brass and painted it up. I have no idea how much it is worth although I'm not looking to sell it I am curious. I would also like to know more about when it was made. I have the glass Kerosene jar that came with it. This stove has just started it's new life as a coffee bar in the waiting room of my wife's salon. I know that it is a New Perfection 502 and that it was made in Cleveland Ohio.

It was made circa 1927. Perfection Stove Co. made them in 1 - 5 burners. With or without a back. Some had attached ovens, or you could place one of their portable ovens on top.

We had a three burner model when I was a kid growing up in Vermont. I remember winter mornings making toast on it. You set the bread on the top grate then flipped it when the first side was brown. Not everyone had electric back then but everyone had kerosene stoves and lamps. Kerosene was expensive (about 12 cents a gallon) so you turned the wick down or got your butt whacked.
