    Hello Again,
I bought this yesterday as well, at the same sale where I found the little Chinese cup that I posted moments ago.
This is one beautiful piece of glass. My guess is that it's Italian, and of a mid century vintage, but I'm not sure.
The shape is unusual, shell like,.....it comes up over itself, almost like the opening of a shell,..... is it a bowl?, or an ashtray?( if it is an ashtray, there's no evidence that it was ever used as one ). The woman who owned it had an amazing collection of beautiful items, the sale was even advertised with the title " Beautiful Things ", so I'm thinking that she purchased this for the quality of it's loveliness.
Any guesses as to the origin of it welcome. Maybe someone has seen this shape before?, any information, looks and loves welcome!!
    Thank You, Tony.

I agree, likely from Murano. A beautiful, apparently simple, but highly refined bit of glass making.
