I purchased this desk in Stuttgart, Germany in the early 1960s. It was in an old barn and the person spoke German and my German at that time was very limited. So all I learned was that it was OLD.
I liked it very much (still do).
The wood don't know what it is. the writing platform slides out and has a green insert - it pulls out.Original brass elements.
The back is finished off. Many decorative elements. Two small drawers either side. I still have the keys to the drawers .
I also am unsure of what the wood used in the desk.
I just enjoyed having the desk all these years.
