Tiny birds created using real feathers. Shown with five pence piece for scale. Vary from 10 to 15mm long.
Were these created for use in jewellery or as miniatures in their own right?
What sort of age are they and what value would they have?
These are tiny!
We had them given to us for a jumble sale at our small village school. We would like to find more out about them with a view to selling to raise money for school funds.
Where do you have them from? Very interesting.
Can't tell you a thing from that single photo. Need to see the brooches close up and also from the back. You can edit your post and add four clear photos.
I have loaded more photos but it is tricky to get a good image as they are so tiny.

They are fantastic!
Intended to be mounted under a crystal cab, as stick pins or earrings. They can be Victorian or early 20th century.
I have several buttons mounted in 14k gold, will post them soon.

Very nice and very graceful. There are fine jewelry making, such as rings, pendants, earrings etc. This technique of using real bird feathers behind glass is also used for other beautiful accessories.
