Looking for any clue as to year and/or maker of this curved bench stool. I bought it at an estate sale in Lake Helen, Florida. 18.5 tall at the top of the side handles, seat is 20' wide x 12" deep. There are only 2 screws in it - both flathead, showing no signs of having even been removed. I didn't take them out to see if they are blunt or pointed. There was a thin veneer board holding the stuffing in but it was partially missing when I bought it. Fabric is woven, you can see it on the underside, but is like velvet on the top, and it was an olive green color. The fabric is tacked down with tiny nails. I could find no maker's mark anywhere...if it was a paper tag, it is long gone now. Any guidance is greatly appreciated.
I think it's a birthing stool.

From what I found so far, it appears to be a fireside stool. I found a (very) few of them....and only one that was remotely similar in the fabric and placement on the bench. Sadly, none included any substantial information as to possible makers or time frame, though I am leaning toward 1915-1930 range.

Around time frame of 1915 - 1930 I have one from my grandmothers house that stayed by the fireplace although when I was growing up the fireplace was no longer used. The old material had been covered up and I have be refurbishing to basically original state. The original material underneath was a square pattern in olive green with what looked like a thousand brads. When removing the brads there is only a "nail" about every 6 heads and the rest are decorative only. I plan to redo the material as the old was dry rotted badly.
