I got this piece the other day at an antique store in the east bay. it's a sterling silver frame with an interesting pattern throughout and a wood backpiece. the picture is an old postcard which has been cut to fit the frame. it's beautiful i think!

Hello, lovely picture frame. To me it looks more Indian, Hindu in design but i am not familiar with latin american designs (i live in europe). What is it stamped with to show its silver? Often such pieces although Indian in origin where made for the Western civilization and will have import hallmarks on them. Either way its beautiful, great find :)
just under the peak on the back, it has 'sterling' impressed in it. no other mark that i can see.
