I've been collecting these everytime i see them for sale. I was told that they are from the 1960s - 1980s, but nobody seems to know the name of the company which made them, but they sure do have wonderful glazes! Two of these pieces have stickers which say 'Made in Japan' on them.

i found these in my local Goodwill. Each of them is approx. 2.5 inches tall.

They're cute! Highly unlikely that you will find out what company made them, since they just have generic stickers.

I tried for years to learn who made these with no success. Recently read where they may be Arita but no guarantee.

I love these vases too. The glazes are always so nice, and in a group like this they are wonderful.

Most recent rumor I've heard says these may have been made by Nagoya-based Meito China (Narumi Seito Narumi).

Norleans was an importer based in (surprisingly) New Orleans, USA. Norleans is also the reasoning behind the possible Meito attribution. Prior to WWII, Norleans imported dinner ware and china novelties exclusively from Meito China - a relationship beginning in the early 1930s. After the war, when importing resumed, many of the old connections were still intact. For that reason, Meito has risen to the top of the suspect list.
