This is a recent addition to my Tango Glass Household Items. It's unmarked which is usual for the U.K. so I have no idea of its maker.

It's a true orange with a black (cobalt blue) snake. The metal work is silver plated (E.P.N.S.) but only the underside of the lid (image four) has retained its original shine. Apart from that it's fine.

Height, 14 cm./5.5 inches (excluding the handle)

Thank you, Elisabethan:) I think that's the attraction of Tango Glass......it's bold!

Great piece! With regard to marks, it seems pretty much all the Tango that came to Australia was unmarked...out of the many Tango items I've had & seen here, only one has been marked.

Glad you like it IronLace, in my experience the absence of marks is the norm in France too.

Beautiful-- love the contrast of black on orange.

Hi, Wandlessfairy, 'funky' is a foreign land to me but I think it's a compliment, so thank you :)

Thank you for the compliment Rose. I'm always pleased to find examples of the fashion/fad of the day reaching the kitchen!

Yes Thomas, I'd not seen anything like this before either. The snake is approximately 172 cm./78 inches long, and applied in one continuous thread!

Great biscuit jar! This will look so nice with your kitchen-themed tango glass, Peggy. The coiled snake is terrific! :)

The snake just might help keep many kids hands out of the cookie/biscuit jar.
      Love it

I would like to know what sort of fantastic biscuits would be fit for this jar. I know none at all suitable. It is so wonderful!

Can't help you with the biscuits, Karen, unless it's to eat them !!!
