Picked up this 24 x 24 Bursting Star Wall Hanging at the Royal Oak Farmers Market it's more so a Flea Market or was at least in 1989 when this was bought there as they didn't sell much or any produce.
Made in Texas with 296 smaller pieces of stained wood (plus the border and frame) signed Wood Quilts by Detweiler 1988

      Not sure about this one:
The eight-pointed star appears in cultures around the globe. It can be found within national flags, and even religious iconography.
The eight-pointed star is the Star of Redemption or Regeneration and represents baptism.
In ancient mythology, the 8-pointed star represents the God of the heaven who was called Anu (Aunu, Aun).
The Occult consider it the Chaos Star.
OR maybe as it was made in Texas the guy was high and tried to make the Rising Star (of Texas)

From Sumerian cosmogony as dome that covered our flat earth, Anu was said to be the Supreme Ruler of the Kingdom of Heaven?
      (note the ? LOL)

Interesting wonder if I'll look at it differently now, Just looked on the back it's titled "Lone Starburst" wood quilts by Detweiler, looks like they made a few.
