The “Duke” has a black composition plastic case with gold finished bezel outline and feet. The 3 inch dial is lacquered metal, and was designed by Kurt Rettich. 51,027 units were sold. It measures 4 and 3/8 inches tall, by 4 inches wide, and 2 and 1/4 inches deep.
Found it at a flea market for 25 cents. The Bakelite/Pastic case on this one has seen better days, but was repairable. I had to undo the last repair to get it to fit correctly in its case. The bezel had fogged over so I cleaned it and replaced the cord.
The initials JSS were on the top. The rotor runs quite and it keeps good time.
