Greetings Fellow Collectors!
It seems like it has been forever since I last posted an item, ( 3+ years to be exact!), but I still click on the site and check out what is happening with everybody here at CW whenever I can. I have seen quite a few interesting things, and I always enjoy some of the “feedback” on here. I have also been picking up an item here and there among some of my travels. My job has been interfering with my hobbies lately, (lol), and keeping me off of the “grid”, but things are slowing down some around here so I am going to try and post a few of my latest “keepers” as I get time. It really is good to be back!!! Since I needed an item to get me started back up, I chose something that I thought was kind of cool and only set me back a $1.00, which will also be my 101st posting. This is a really neat book which has the bonus of having nothing but 1,000 photos in it! It was published in 1955 and lists photos of all of the “48” states at the time. All of the phots are in black and white, and it is really interesting to see what some places looked like back then, compared to today. One photo that really stood out was in Washington state, and was of Spirit Lake with Mt. St. Helens in the background. As everyone knows, Mt. St. Helens erupted in May, 1980 destroying the mountain and taking out Spirit Lake. I actually was able to visit this area in 2000 with my family and it was a humbling experience. I guess I will wrap this up for now but I do want to say “HEY” to all my old friends and to the new ones I hope to meet…

Hey blunderbuss2, really good to be talking to you again! You really know how to set the bar high when it comes to comparisons! I definitely plan on hanging around and reconnecting with everyone again. I had a feeling that you would be the first to "holla" at me! I really enjoy the sidebars on the down low you have been sharing with me the last several years! I read everyone of them at least twice, and usually pass them on to several others.
