Received this interesting CDV today of a Union Officer (I make him out to be a Lt??) He is seated in a somber position, obviously he has seen the elephant. His US Model 1851 Officer Belt Plate is very sharp as is he ID disk an early form of a dog tags. All his information is right there, but it's not to be as it is unreadable..
It measures 2 1/2" x 4" and is not marked on the back.
