Have just got myself a 1st edition dated 1941 of May Gibbs " Scotty in Gumnut Land ".
This 1st edition is very hard to get. But this one is quite unusual and would love to know what others think of this or how it came about ????
This has the date 1941 but when you open the book , all the pages are upside down. This is a publishers mistake. So the cover is upside and back to front.
As pictured , closed book then the all I did was just open it as seen in 2nd photo and that is what its like.
The binding is perfect, excellent condition for its age but wondered if anybody knows what happened and if others have the same edition with this fault ???
Is it worth anything like this ? Should I take it to a restorer to get fixed or just leave it as is ?
Thanks.
