Hi, I just purchased this Gilberts (1807) banjo time only Clock (no strike ) for only $10 When I purchased a Clock I did not know if it worked or not or even how to see if the clockworks so when I got home I studied the Clock when I unscrewed the face dial plate I saw the movements and I moved something in the movement and then I heard it tick-tock but the weird thing about this Clock is that there's no pendulum do these clocks have/use pendulum's? Also there is a hole on the top of the Clock case I will leave for a eagle brass or gold tone finial I would also like to know how old this clock is and what it's value maybe it is marked made in USA I know it's not from 1807 my guess 1920's ? The clock is now running good thanks reading/ viewing.

I assume you know that 1807 is not the date & Gilbert started business in 1828.
