This photo shoot was a bit of a challenge as Smokey decided to do battle with it. Had to wait until he got distracted to take the photos.
Back to the pelt I had never seen an opossum pelt before and I am a bit addicted to taxidermy so I had to buy it. The pelt is 27" long and lacks the rat like tail. It does have the whiskers. The pelt is nice looking but not quite as much fur as the more desirable pelts. Granny Moses would have had a few recipes for possum I am sure.

Thank you very much Thomas. Mine aren't allowed outside due to coyotes and others. In summer they argue with the raccoons through the screen door.

One of these crawled out in front of my car this morning (unlit road, 4:40 AM), but I was able to safely swerve away from him.
Sure he's dead FA there real good at playin, Okay maybe not THAT good
Good thing you missed it SB. I hate when I hit a squirrel. They will run right across the road when a car is coming.
