Has anyone ever seen a reel like this? I came across this at an auction, bid and won it. Before I left, I had many offers to purchase it. The rod is steel with a cork and what looks like bakelite or celluloid handle. The reel has CCB Co. marked on it. I've never seen a reel like this. Any information and a value estimate would be awesome! Thanks so much!!

I'm not a serious collector, but it looks like a Creek Chub Bait Co. "Wawasee" reel to me. If it is, it is worth a bit of money. A google search will give you an idea pretty quick.
I found this info from a Lang Auction catalog listing:
"Named after the state where it was first manufactured and popularized, the Indiana reel was conceived with a dual purpose. It would function as both a line dryer (for the silk and linen lines used at the time) and as a casting reel. It served both functions well, and was also employed as a trolling reel. The first Indiana reel patent was granted to C.D. Rider on December 1, 1908, the most recent to A.L. Thomson on April 4, 1967. The Indiana reel has been found in many shapes and sizes, but the basic design is that of a large diameter, single action reel with radial arms, which are side mounted on a rod. It has been affectionately known as a line dryer reel, a Star reel, a Ferris reel and a true "Knucklebuster"."
Their estimate was $500-750, but that was a few years ago and they have premium bidders, so that is probably a bit high today.
Gotta ask.... what did you pay for it at auction and how did it slip by those other bidders that offered to buy it from you?
I need to add that condition is important and that looks to have some rust/corrosion issues ~ if so, dial back that estimate another couple notches.
