    I picked this up at an estate sale. I believe it to be Zuni. It tested as 925 silver though not marked as such. On the back is engraved "By George." I do not know if is the name of the artist or a prior owner of the piece. I am particularly curious why the antenna of the butterfly are enclosed instead of open and whether the enclosed portion was filled at one time and if the filling had fallen out. Perhaps it was never intended to be filled. I would be grateful for comments.

      It's damaged - the antenna area should be filled. Please edit your post and add a photo of the back. Better to see the mark than depend on a description. Thanks.

      Thank you Efesgirl for the comment. I have attached a photo now of the backside showing the engraving on the back. I think you are right about filling the antenna hole since I saw a tiny scrap of adhesive in it. But what kind/color of stone would it be. Would it represent a flower/ Am I right in thinking this is Zuni?
