This Victorian toothpick holder is made from Queen's Burmese glass, shading from pale, custard yellow to salmon pink, which contains uranium & glows brightly under UV light. It measures 6.5 cm tall, 4 cm across the hexagonal top rim, & 3 cm across the base, which has a polished out pontil mark. The toothpick holder also features hand painted decoration of ivy leaves, & was made by Thomas Webb & Sons of Stourbridge, England. The first piece of Burmese glass that I ever obtained, circa 2002.

      That's just lovely.
Graduation from custard to pink and the round body to hexagonal neck...just lovely.

Thanks so much, racer4four...this one does have a nice colour transition. Burmese glass can be quite variable in its shading due to the reheating process.
