These have come from a lady, now in a home, who is over 100 years old. I was determined to date them as I knew from the old money price that they were pre- 1969. Having contacted Clarks customer service they delved into their records (which only went back to '79 so they contacted archives) and found the exact shoes were made in 1955! I am amazed these are my first real vintage find of any age and I'm so glad I decided to look into this rather tatty and battered box to find a near perfect pair of vintage shoes inside by the iconic british shoe brand. Now what do I do? where will this go next...I have already picked up a pair of Charles Jourdan brogues yet to date... :)
