This is a Lenci doll I found on the bottom of a box full of national costume dolls I bought from someone in Germany. A very nice surprise, but I don't know anything about this doll.

She is a beautiful character Lenci. Does the tag have a number on it? So great to have the tag with her, what a treasure!
I would look her up by "BC" series. She really is in perfect condition!
Yes, she has her original tag with 'PF/2' in handwriting at the back. Unfortunately she has quite some mothdamage at the back of her headscarf, in the fold. There are a few little holes in her skirt and neck as well and one to the side of a slipper strap. She is a cutie isn't she!
Little holes are not unusual with these dolls. She is so clean and her hair is so perfect!
There you go. She is a Lenci PF series, and made in the 40's!
The doll is Lenci's Child in Red Scarf, She is pictured in Cloth dolls, Id and price guide 1920-1930's by Polly Judd. The book is dated 1990. She is on page128, Illust, #158. Your doll is in her original clothing as pictured in the book . At that time she was valued at 700-800. Lucky you, It is always fun to find something great.
i have three Lenci dolls from the 1940s each has a tag and a number and they are in good condition have one from the same era with no tag
is there a way to know approx price of these dolls...
The only way to tell is to check the completed listings on eBay. The market is down on dolls just like everything else. I hate it, but buyers do gauge worth these days from eBay. If you are not in a hurry to sell I would wait.
