I honestly don't like to post and run, but I need to once again. I just had to make time to get this posted because it's very, very special to me!
Our own Valentino made this for me from an old set of backgammon discs., which by the way has always been one of my favorite board games, ta boot! She had no idea about that. Now, not only is this lady sweet, smart and oh so beautiful, this woman can power shop, and by that I mean she can do a sweep on a whole huge area of a flea market so freakin fast that she could leave me in her dust! I actually had to work hard at NOT spending money, that right there was so hard for me! but since we had agreed to meet, I wasn't about to let that slip by again.
Thank goodness I had vendor friends that I hadn't seen in a very long time there, so as I chit chatted away with them...Val is sweeping! And let me tell you, this woman can stay so focused, she is amazing.
We've been working on getting together for over 2 years now and the timing, which is always everything, was right for this past weekend. After we left, we went to get a bite to eat and of course, there was a thrift that I wanted to see. She was all for it. We go in and I readjust my blinders, and see a blouse that was just perfect for me, not realizing it was the exact color of the necklace she made me. She knew it though. I put it down, then she informs me it was half off...how could I resist that? I know I got it because the positive projection was very strong from her in the gentlest way. I got it and 2 little tiles. After I got home is when I realized how perfectly the blouse and the necklace matched! Perfection...
Now I'm wearing it and doing the rubbing and smelling thing...haha, seriously though because it has enlightened me to what everyone else here seems to already know about the bakelite!
I'm telling you, this necklace is so awesome, I love it and it's just like eye candy to me, and more than that, my sweet friend made it for me!
Thank you Ms. Val! You're the best ;) We are gonna come in stronger with our goodies, so look out all...here we come. Only I'll have to get a set of binoculars! haha She'll be wayy up there holding a sign...Isle 3, item #88!!! Love her to pieces!!!

Val, isn't that crazy that they match so perfectly! Seriously, the only pic I would delete is the one of me! I love that necklace, I really do. And no worries, I am sure now that I have bakelite here for you. I can smell it now. haha I can. And yes, I love that spot there, tons of goodies by the vendors there. Can't wait to see what Terrie and Jim have in store! Should be exciting.
