    Wikipaedia says that the oldest known Meerschaum pipe is dated 1723. I have no idea why 1703 is carved into this one.
    The last photo shows 1905 has been scratched on later.

      I've got a pipe just like this that has 1720 carved into it. Is there anything you can tell me about it?
