The Lord's Prayer

Needlework by a great, great, great aunt or grandmother, not sure which, nor am I sure of the year it was made. It's been in our family for decades, in the original frame.
The glass is missing and I'd like to have it restored; I was told a museum curator would be able to help me safely clean up the fabric as well as replace the glass and preserve this piece. Any thoughts or experiences with something like this? I'd appreciate any feedback that is helpful. Thanks.
