Recently I've been searching for Welz pieces in clear or plain translucent glass. Not easy, as without a known décor you only have the shape to go on. However there's no doubt that this ribbed three ball shape is Welz,
Looking at the group in image four, all have the same moulded shape with hobnail detail on the stem. All have received applied amber feet. Some have been finished with a frilled rim but one has had rigaree applied to the stem and so is taller than the rest.
Height 18 cm./7 inches

I love clear glass this beautiful. To me it says everything about the properties of glass and the talent of the glass maker. Gorgeous pieces Peggy.
