I found this Mobil sign in an antique store in Alabama ten years ago. I'd been looking for one for over twenty years.
Does anyone know how much it might be worth?
Thanks!

Depends what the other side looks like. If about the same condition...$300 - 400 Are you looking to sell it or did you post to see the 10 yr. appreciation investment??
Thanks for your response.
The other side is the same. The last time I checked on the value it was $1600. That was five years ago.
I am more interested in the current value than selling it at this time.
Sorry, then you should have sold it five years ago and ran as fast as you could. The current market value is still what I said it was. I'm not sure where you researched a $1600 value, but there is no collector out there that will pay that premium. IMO keep enjoying the sign for another 10 years and forget about the value.
One like yours sold for 325 at auction last year but yours looks a little better.
Flash is right on the value. Seems like it should be worth more but in a realistic setting its not. Its weird whats worth a bunch of money and whats not. A sign i would pay $1,000 for may only be a $200 sign and the other way around. I guess it works out for me:). Rarity also plays a huge roll in a signs value and this one is common.
Value seems to be in the eye of the beholder! And I do love this sign.
I did not realize this was a common sign - but I am not in the collecting business.
Thanks for the input!
